Decemberists Concert McMenamins Edgefield Troutdale, Oregon

Sketches from the Concert

Being disabled,(arthritis), it's hard for me to go to concerts. In fact when my wife and sons decided to go to this one I was hesitant. But we all really like The Decemberists, so I went.

What a nice surprise! They were set up great for handicapped folks. There was a special gate with no standing in line. There was a special area and restroom that was easy to get to.

All in all a good experience. Here are some small sketches I did while I was there.

Fishing Fly Cards

Bass Bug: generic

Salmon fly: Jock Scott

Well, it's been a big week for us. My youngest son graduated from high school. Off to college this fall. We are proud of him.

Here are two small cards I painted one night this week. Just experimenting with pen and watercolor together. Both are 4"x 5".

A salmon fly and a bass popper.

Not for Sale

This watercolor thing is a kick! I did this one with only one color. It is six by nine inches.

Here is a small sketch I did of Tillamook Head, Oregon. It was done about a month ago during a weekday morning. I've always loved the ocean!

It is a watercolor sketch with some watercolor pencils and a little ink. the sketch is 6"x7" approximately.

Just posting a sketch from the other day. I could not set long enough to finish because of my arthritis, but I enjoyed it none the less. About 20 minutes or so.

It looks like I will have to write darker, so my scanner can pick it up! something to remember for future posts.

I am still trying to learn how to use this online journal. What a great feature from Google!

For now, I will post a couple of pet portraits I have done in pastel. Please check back periodically. Both pieces are pastel.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello, this is my first post! I have been looking at other blogs and I thought this would be a good place to share some of my thoughts and work.

I live here, in Portland, Oregon and I will be posting my art as I go along. I hope you enjoy.
