Posting a .png file to see what it looks like.

I was wondering how to save and post images as a cut out only. I have been admiring some other online artists works where they have done this. The answer is pretty simple, actually. Take your image in Photoshop and make the back round blank. If you save your cut out image as a .png file then it will show online as a cut out. With no border other than the one Blogspot put around it.
Click on the image to see the image without the border.

Here is a video from 1979. Lene Lovich. I find her style and expressions interesting. I like this song, too.

A Feral Cat from the Days of Old, a cartoon.

Hi, to anyone stopping by. I've been out of it for a while...

I just worked through this idea. I got just a glimpse of the cat in my imagination, but not the full picture. If that makes any sense at all.

Lately I've been listening to Bruce Springsteen's new album "Wrecking Ball". It is streaming on the internet in various places. It's great!
I kind of like this slide show, but be advised there are a few signs on the video that use some harsher language.

Ganster Cat

This was a pencil sketch inked and colored with Photoshop. I got the backround from Morguefile.com. I could not find the photographer to credit, but it was free to use.

A sparrow incognito.

This one came together pretty fast. I have been sorer than usual lately and have been watching my bird feeder out of my window more than usual. This was a pen drawing colored with Photoshop. I scanned a blank page of Bee Paper's Bogus Recycled Rough Sketch paper for the back round.

I just had to add this video because it's so good. The band is Monsters of Folk.

A comic strip about a fly fishing ghost.

Here is a strip about fly fishing. A friend and I were talking about all the people who we knew and fished with that are gone now. As well as all the people who fished this area before us. This is kind of about that. I admit it's not funny, but hopefully I am conveying a thought here.

From the enchanted forest of Tillamook, Oregon. A dragon cow.

I have been watching NBC's television show Grimm. A show that is inspired by Grimm's Fairy Tales that takes place in and around Portland, Oregon. There are updated characters from the old fairy tales plus creatures from other sources too.
I haven't seen any werewolves or monsters around here on the west end of town, but if there were, maybe a dragon crossed with a cow would be nice. Or a dracow as a friend of mine called it.

Batman and Catwoman fan art sketches.

On a  forum of artists and sketchers that I belong to they have been practicing superhero fan art. These are my two sketches. They were done with pencil. The Catwoman was inked. Both were colored with my computer.
They are both just practices and truly fan appreciation coupled with my weird sense of humor.

A comic strip from a coffee shop in Portland, Oregon

During this last Christmas vacation my youngest son, J.D. came home for a visit. During his brief visit he took me to a couple of the better Portland area coffee shops, where they roast their own beans and make great coffee.

The idea for this cartoon came during that time. I have been watching the TV show Grimm which puts a Portland slant on the Brothers Grimm's fairy tails. I haven't seen any werewolves or the like around here, but I thought it would be fun to make a spooky comic of my own anyway.

It's a retelling of a very old joke.

A pencil caricature of Frida Kahlo.

Hello to anyone who happens by!
This post is partly to move on from the Holidays to the new year and partly to mention Frida Kahlo. I have been looking online at her work and she is an artist whose work I find most interesting. I recommend taking time to see her work.
Here is a caricature of her that I did after reading about her and perusing her art online.

Christmas sketches, elf girls, and a couple of others. Pencil sketches colored with computer.

Well, we have been pretty crazy with the coming of the Holidays this year! I did manage to do these little pencil sketches and color them with my computer.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Last, a very quick one from this Christmas eve morning. My wife, Aunt Bee, has everyone hopping around here!
