My 2012 Christmas card of sorts. Skeleton Santa

Hello to all and Merry Christmas!
I have not been drawing much as of late, but I did manage to do this one.
Originally done in pencil, then inked and colored with Photoshop Elements.

Cut out cards.

Aunt Bee found some cards at a garage sale for a quarter and brought  them for me. I had them for a while before I got the idea for these.
I thought it would be better to take photos rather than scanning for clarity. All be it, my photography skills aren't that great.
The first one is ink

Gas Mask/ Peace Cat

This one is ink and colored pencil. The paper on these cards is very lightweight, probably made for printing, so pressure from coloring with the pencils caused the paper to buckle a bit.

My Halloween Post for 2012. Frankenstein and his lady.

Hi, all. I did these yesterday while watching football on a rainy Sunday here in Oregon. They are just pencil, colored in Photoshop as I usually do with my cartoons.
In retrospect I should have said "There is a very special ghoul." on the girlfriend's dfrawing.

I posted this one before, maybe every year I have had my blog. Still my favorite Halloween video.

A sketch of a brown trout on Bee's Bogus Recycled Paper

Here are two sketches. The first one of a brown trout is done on Bee's Bogus Recycled Paper with ink and white pastel.

This next one hopefully is not too adult for this blog. It is a twenty five minute sketch from a life drawing session I went to. I finally felt like going and had a good time. The drawing was larger than the scanner, so I had a bit of trouble getting the image.
For any artist or sketcher who wants to go to a life drawing session and is hesitant, I recommend going if you can find a respectable one to go to. Check out colleges and art studios in your area.

Skull in a leopard skin pill box hat and a comic strip about Bee writing Oprah

This sketch was done with a a Pilot Precise V7 pen and some really crappy, all but dried out markers that were lying around the house here.
I have been listening to Bob Dylan's "Blonde on Blonde" album some as of late. There is a song on the album called "Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat". This was just me riffing on that song a bit.

Also, here is a very quickly done little comic strip based on a conversation I had with Bee this week. Bee loves okra, I, on the other hand, do not. (!!!!!) In my imagination Oprah doesn't either.
BTW, okra is a vegetable here in the States.

Still here, a pencil cartoon colored in Photoshop.

Hello! Just a quick one, a card of sorts to say I am still around. There has been a lot of stuff going on around me lately, some good, some bad. So, as a result I haven't been able to draw, doodle, sketch or paint. Hopefully things will settle down a bit.

A couple of Birthday cards for August, one Dragon Boat and one Grateful Dead.

I just made a couple of birthday cards today. One is for Aunt Bee, who is on a dragon boat racing team this year. And one for another family member. Both birthdays are coming up this week.
Both were done in pencil. Cleaned up and enhanced with Photoshop.
For the skeleton I used a circus ring master's coat and hat.

A sketch from a dream, a birthday card and one just for fun.

This image popped into my brain as I was falling asleep last night. I didn't get it quite right , but came kind of close. It is not supposed to make sense or have any kind of meaning, just came to me as I was falling asleep.

This next one was for a quick birthday card. Just pencil with a touch of Photoshop.

And this last one was just for fun.

1960 Rambler American surf wagon

I haven't drawn a lot of cars, but they are sure fun to draw. This one was penciled, inked and colored with Photoshop. I got the back round image from Morguefile, an awesome site with images that are free to use. If you do use Morguefile be sure to read the rules.

Sorrow, a pencil doodle that turned into a sketch.

This one is a bit strange, I know. It was just a pencil doodle that got it's own life. I don't know if that makes any sense, but that's the only way I could describe it. I added the grey back round with Photoshop.
